Modern Meets Romantic White and Black Serra Plaza Wedding

Laura and her bridesmaids got wedding ready inside the Bridal Suite at Serra Plaza while Tomas and his groomsmen suited up at the Inn at The Mission just down the street. Once both parties were ready, they headed to the Mission Basilica where the bride and groom tied the knot surrounded by friends and family. After, the wedding party posed for photos at Mission San Juan Capistrano while guests headed to Serra Plaza for cocktail hour.

At Serra Plaza, guests dropped off their gifts and cards at the welcome table and headed to the Lounge for a drink. The bar was serving the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Jack and Gingerale and Aperol Spritz while tray passed Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Caprese Skewers, and Thai Chicken Spring Rolls made their rounds. Laura and Tomas and their bridesmaids and groomsmen soon joined in on the fun and mixed and mingled with guests until it was time to take a seat for dinner in the Courtyard. Everyone checked the modern taupe and black seating install and headed outside.

Black and white details were sprinkled across the reception space. Tables topped with ivory rose centerpieces contrasted black charger plates for a romantic meets modern theme. Taupe candlesticks, travertine name tiles, and custom deckle edge menus completed the decor. Laura and Tomas made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then stood with their family to break bread. After, the couple took a seat, and dinner was served while toasts were shared. Lemon and Thyme Chicken, Cabernet Braised Short Ribs, Roasted Asparagus, Gourmet Mashed Potatoes, and Caesar Salad were enjoyed by guests. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Selena. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into our two-tier vintage wedding cake and invited their guests to indulge in our Coffee Station and Italian Dessert Station with a collection of Fresh Fruit Tarts, Chocolate Dipped Cannoli, Florentine Cookies, Meyer Lemon Cheesecake Bars, and Mini Italiano Tiramisu Cupcakes. The evening ended under a canopy of stars and sparkling chandeliers where everyone danced and celebrated the love of Laura and Tomas together!
